On a Road Trip to San Fran

Hello there,
even though it is only spring, I am already longing for summer. I want 80 degree weather and sunshine. I want to go on a road trip to San Francisco. Just me, my car, and a couple of close friends. Traveling with no deadline, only a final destination that someday we would reach. Where we went along the way wouldn't matter. And on that trip, if it were a perfect world, I would be equipped with all of these beautiful clothes:

Road trip to...

vest, shoes, swim suit- urban outfitters; shorts- free people; bag- Market Publique; earrings- Modcloth; ensemble made on kaboodle

I am aware that the Canon Rebel Xs is not
an article of clothing. But if I had an unlimited amount of money, that's where it would go.

P.s. On this road trip I would only listen to great music, and this album would be played on high frequency : Big Echo

Long Division

Hello there,

This is what I wore the other day. It gave me a good excuse to wear this scarf, because it doesn't go that well with jeans or any of the other pants options that are available to me. I tried a new effect with these pictures but they ended up just looking blurry, I apologize.

On another note, if you get the change listen to the Death Cab for Cutie song Long Division. It is positively enchanting.

Outfit Details: stockings- target, shorts- anthropologie, shirt- urban outfitters, scarf- forever 21

Peace Out,
Lloyd

Time to Play

Well hey there. Just a heads up that posting (from me anyway, can't speak for Lloyd) will be very very light over the holiday week. I'm stuck in lovely Virginia for the day, relaxing, cooking, and escaping every once in a while to practice my fiddle. Needless to say, not too much fashion stuff going on (I'm still in my pajamas...), but I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I'll leave you with this then:

Definitely one of my favorite bands - I've been listening to then since I was around 11. Hope you have a bucket of fun today :)

Lovers, Old and New

I'll always be grateful to my sister for introducing me to good music. Up until the summer of the fourth grade, the entirety of my music collection consisted of orchestra recordings of Bach and Beethoven along with the Suzuki cassette tapes I was forced to listen to as I started learning the violin (obviously, I was super cool, even back then). The Clash will always have a special place in my heart as the first band I "fell" for - the lyrics and rhythms were like no Mozart concerto I'd ever had to play. I still remember my first love, but I hope you'll forgive me if I say that I've taken a few mistresses along the way :)

Soundtrack to my Life

Hello there,
I apologize for all the indoor pictures- this whole daylight savings is really sending me for a loop pictures-wise. By the time I get home it's already dark and I am forced to move indoors.

However, I must take a moment to discuss a song that has been stuck in my head for one week at least: coffee & tv by blur. Its there whatever I am doing, and seems to just haunt me through every action. On the other hand, it can make life a little more interesting- I feel like a movie character, and this is part of my soundtrack. Not to mention that the music video, while a tad morbid, is positively adorable. It has definitely garnered a spot in my list of favorite music videos.

Outfit details: blazer- h&m, shirt- anthropologie, undershirt- sugarlips, jeans- free people

What would you say is your favorite music video?

Bright and Early

What I've been listening to all week and a sample of what my soundtrack for getting me through this mountain of work I have:

This song always makes me a little sad, but it's very lovely. I've been up since 4:00 AM trying to get through a pile of physics work as well a Spanish essay and 20 minute oral presentation I have to memorize (!!!), but some good food and a lot of comfort music is helping me get through. Hope you have a better day than I will :-)

The freshest oxygen I’d ever inhale

Hey there, Lloyd speaking,
I don't think enough can be said for the value of a few good songs and nice weather. Although this past week has been slightly hectic (or rather, extremely hectic) I have somehow managed to remain sanguine and optimistic throughout everything. would you like to know how? I simply go outside to enjoy the lovely fall air and listen to the most bouyant, cheerful music I can find (try Little Bribes by death cab for cutie). And for some reason, I have managed. I don't know if can assert that I've been highly productive in any way shape or form. But I have somehow stayed on top of my work (for the most part). So here's to fall. To golden leaves and pumpkin spice lattes.
Oh right, you also wanted to hear about fashion.
Well, I wore this ensemble a couple days ago, I wanted something casual and comfortable that still looked put together. Because I am enjoying the fall weather so much I donned this flowing ecru blouse. To taper the look I added my black vest which coincidentally brought out some black on the shirt. I then kept it simple with these jeans, which were a birthday gift to myself. (There is nothing more valuable then the perfect pair of jeans, and these are it.) I topped the look of with my converse.

Outfit details: shirt- Anthropologie, vest- Urban Outfitters, jeans- free people,

So remember: go outside, enjoy the weather. Its gonna be alright.
Peace out,
Llyod
